In this month ( October 2011), Beeline released a version 1.1.4 a new update of Smurfs village game, to fix many bugs were made in previous version 1.1.3.1 .

Back to the previous version which was released unexpectedly in late September and was called by beeline as a performance update. However this update turned things upside down. Many items and gifts disappeared like the orange potion which was the most adorable gifts to be exchanged between neighbors. In addition the App keeps crushing all the time, and freezes on the orange screen (Beeline logo) upon launching it. More importantly, since Smurfs village is a social game, the players are forced to make friends in order to water their flowers and exchange gifts to get more XP (experience) to level up faster. But unfortunately the players couldn’t be able to see and connect to their friends and neighbors’ villages, which annoyed many people.

Shortly after the performance update released, the new major update 1.1.4 was made available to public in October celebrating Halloween. Halloween theme in smurfs village was nice many items were added. For decoration tombstones, and carving jack-o’-lanterns , as well as Purple picnic table and purple bench were added also, but ar only available for Smurfberries. For gifts, were added mainly sweets like gum ball which gives 150XP but you can get it only if you are in level 15); Lollipop give 50XP; and finally the Chocolate Bar (you have to be in level 25) and gives 250 XP. By removing the orange potion, which gives 500xp, yellow potted flowers remain the best gift although players they delete them.

The gifting system was also improved and a new where a status bar can be used not to monitor your gifting progress.

Two new smurfs characters were also introduced to the village namely Scaredy Smurf and Lone smurf. For Sacaredy Smurf (scardy) obviously he scares from haunted houses. In order to get Scaredy papa smurf will give you quest to find him and clam him as following Oh, I think Scaredy can be brave a little longer. Come back at night and calm him down. Is quit tricky to find him in the village, so what you should do? The first tip to find Scaredy is to activate the night mode in your village from option. Then wait until the night falls in your village, and look for him. Scaredy scares a lot so he knows how to hide well, behind items. The trick to find him is to use different mode, for example if you have tailor mode to find him easily. Scaredy Smurf gives you 400xp daily by tapping on him whenever has an exclamation mark over his.

Lone smurf is an other character added to the village, but she is only available for people who bought smurfette . So you didn’t spent smurfberries to buy smurfett don’t waist your time to look for lone because she is masked Smurfette.

You can turn Smurfette into Lone Smurf once you get a quest to mix the purple potion. You will get few quest from here and after only a few quests, she will ask you to mix an other purple potion will turn her back into Smurfette. Many players were annoyed because they didn’t keep smurfette new look for longer, so if you want to keep her in costume until Halloween, make sure ignore the quest of making the second purple potion.
With regards to the bug related to Alchemist smurf to upgrade papa smurf hat was fixed. However you will probably face a new problem with Marco smurf where you get a message that Marco Smurf came back empty handed and that he will try again tomorrow, this is not clear if Marco if this is a but or is part of the game. If you had Marco before and you lost him he is in one of your friends villages and you will get a this quest to get him back “Marco left your village and that you need to go find him in a friend’s village.
” .

Following the disappearance of orange, yellow and red potions in previous update, Easter eggs , which were kept in the village as decorative items transformed in petrified frog.

At last but not least a new level was added to make level 40 if the last level as October 2011.

In conclusion the new Halloween update 1.1.4 seems to work smoothly and fine by far better than the previous one at some extant. We note that this major update didn’t exceed the expectation of the smurfs village fans who were expecting to get more land and more Halloween costumes and items, and may be animals like bats and spiders. There were also minor complains about crushing game upon gifting.

Also the notification seemed to be buggy, but this was mainly with people who have upgraded to iOS 5, but rebooting the phone or ipad will sort it our in most of the cases.
